Enrichment takes on many forms such as: before, lunchtime and after school clubs, trips to museums, art galleries and local religious settings, participation in and watching sporting competitions, trips and residentials, debating, careers awareness and volunteering, participation in the performing arts and going to the theatre. It can include activities such as chess, crafts, multi-media, a variety of physical opportunities, mentoring and boosters for academic achievement.
It will be strategic to promote greater well-being, equality and inclusion, encourage participation with those dis-engaged from learning, raise attainment levels, create aspirations and develop positive attitudes to learning connecting education to the world of work. Exceptional enrichment has the power to be up-lifting and beneficial to the whole community.
